    Getting There

    By Transfer

Most of our guests arrive at and leave Wananavu Beach Resort in our luxurious transfer minivans. Just book you transfer in advance with us and our drivers will personally greet you at the airport or pick you up anywhere from any other resort. These very scenic transfer tours are a great and very relaxed way to your first glimpse of the real Fiji. Our transfer rates are very competitive. So sit back, relax and enjoy a smooth ride along spectacular coast lines, magic mountain ranges, picturesque villages and busy country towns. Slip into the Wananavu Feeling right when you arrive in Fiji.

By rental car from Nadi Airport

Once you leave the airport, turn north into Queens Road towards Lautoka, with the blue ocean on the left and the mountain ranges on the right. Lautoka is about 30 minutes from the airport, a good time to get used to Fijian traffic. The national speed limit is 80km/h, please do not exceed it. Be aware of hazardous road conditions, frequently stopping buses, cars without breaklights halting for a chat with smiling people on the road, escaping cows and goats, the heavy ladden sugar cane trucks and the omnipresent speed bumps in each village. It is a wonderful world out there. So, slow down, switch gear to Fiji time and enjoy the drive. Petrol stations can be found in each larger town on the way.

Approaching Lautoka, you come to a big roundabout under even bigger water trees with two main roads on the opposite side. Follow the right one which is a bypass of Lautoka. The road is now called Kings Road.

It is another 30 minutes from Lautoka to Ba, a busy country town a bit off Kings Road with a mainly Indian population.

The countryside becomes more rural. Passing a several Fijian villages, the next larger town after about 30 minutes drive is Tavua, the Gold town of Fiji. Drive straight through town, still following Kings Road and head towards the main town of the Ra province, Rakiraki, which is again 30 minutes away. Between Tavua and Rakiraki is Yaquarra, a picturesque cattle station and landbase for the emerging Fijian film studios.

Shortly before you get to Rakiraki, just where the road splits, you see a large blue Wananavu Beach Resort sign. Follow it through the village of Rakiraki and some kilometres along Kings Road and turn left onto a last couple of kilometres on unsealed road to the resort.

    Parking

Arriving with a rental car? Parking is safe and looked after free of charge at the resort entrance. Slip into the Wananavu feeling when you arrive and forget about driving until you have to say Goodbye again.
