A peaceful and secluded retreat for the independent traveller, SAWENI BEACH APARTMENT HOTEL is located about half way between Nadi and Lautoka. The perfect place to get away from it all, Saweni Beach was the staging area for the ocean-kayaking leg of the 2002 ECO-CHALLENGE FIJI expedition race.

Please note that due to Saweni’s secluded and quiet location, this property is not recommended for people looking for a party scene.

APARTMENTS:

12 self-contained 1-bedroom apartments (either fan-cooled or with air-conditioned bedrooms), each with ceiling fans and insect screens, large separate bedroom with queen-sized or twin-beds (that can be joined together), lounge and dining area, kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator and utensils, private bathroom with solar hot water, and spacious verandah. Linen and maid service are provided. Apartments do not have telephones or televisions; there is a TV lounge and payphone in the reception area.

MEALS:

All apartments have kitchens and cooking facilities for self-catering. Most guests find it convenient to stock up on groceries in Nadi town before coming to Saweni to check in, as supermarkets near the airport are usually open quite late. Alternatively, Lautoka town (about a 15 minute drive/taxi ride from Saweni) is Fiji’s second largest city and has large supermarkets and markets for fresh fruits/vegetables. We also offer affordable home-style local meals on request in our little restaurant.

Reception is open from 7 am to 10 pm. If you are arriving on an early morning flight and wish to check in as soon as you arrive, you will need to book from the night before & let the hotel know so that special arrangements can be made.

Taxis from international airport at Nadi to Saweni will cost approx F$25-F$28 for the ride. If you are renting a hire car and are driving, please ask rental car agency to show you Saweni Beach location on a map.
