Overview
An enchanting tropical gem on private Yanuca Island, Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa offers vacationers and families an idyllic South Pacific escape, with kid’s play areas, a wide range of dining and recreation options, and exceptional wedding and event venues.
Situated on our private, 109-acre Yanuca Island, the Resort is surrounded by pristine white beaches, turquoise lagoons, and swaying palm trees, offering the vacationer of any age a truly tropical escape.
The new Ratu Makutu Events Centre has been completed, and the new CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La opened in October 2007 and it is the largest and most luxurious private spa in Fiji.
Rooms
Each of the Shangri-La Fijian’s 442 refurbished guest rooms has its own private balcony overlooking the lagoon or Pacific Ocean. While for guests seeking Fiji accommodation with a little more luxury there are new secluded bures, great for couples.
Please note: Baby cots can only be placed in Ocean View, Lagoon Family and Ocean Family, 1 Bedroom Suite, and 2 Bedroom Beach Bure. The cots are available at no charge. And infant is included in the children count for maximum room capacity.

Lagoon View Room
Overlook the private lagoon and are located in the Lagoon Wing of the Resort. Size is 32m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 1 Pull-out Sofa Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Note: Baby cot cannot be placed in this room type.
Ocean View Room
Located in either the Golden Cowrie Wing, Reef Wing, Ocean Wing or Coral Wing. Size is 36m2. Bedding is either 1 King Bed and 1 Pull-out Sofa Bed or 2 Double beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Lagoon Ground Room
Ground floor room overlooking the private lagoon and located in the Lagoon Wing of the Resort. Size of room is 32m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 1 Pull-out Sofa Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Note: Baby cot cannot be placed in this room type.
Lagoon Family Room
Mostly located on the ground floor, some on 2nd and 3rd floors, in the Lagoon Wing, larger than the Lagoon Ground Room – size is 36m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 2 Divans. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Ocean Family Room
Located on ground floor in the Ocean Wing or Coral Wing. Size is 47m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 2 Divans. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.
Ocean Deluxe Room
Located in the Ocean Wing with Ocean views. Size is 34m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.
Ocean Premier Room
Located in the Coral Wing with Ocean views. Size is 41m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.
1 Bedroom Suite
Located in the Coral Wing or Lagoon Wing with Ocean views. Size is 67m2. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 1 Pull-out Sofa Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children.
2 Bedroom Beach Bure
Located on the Lagoon Waterfront. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 2 Doubles plus a Pull-out Sofa Bed. Size is 106m2. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 4 Children.
Ocean Bure
Situated between the exclusive Chi Village and Wedding Chapel and set right on the waters edge, sweeping views of the lagoon, reef and Pacific Ocean are offered. Bure size is 131m2 in area, serviced with a 24 hour butler service and provided with a golf buggy for sole use throughout guests stay. Ideal for couples. Bedding is 1 King bed, maximum room capacity is 2 adults.

Dining
Restaurants at Shangri-La Fijian Resort are currently opened on selected evenings. Details are provided at Reception on check-in.
The Beach Bar & Grill: The perfect casual dining outlet, located right on the beachfront and overlooks the lagoon and lagoon pool area. Beach Bar & Grill serves a light menu consisting of salads, sandwiches and grills and opens for lunch and dinner only. Casual dress code.
Lagoon Terrace Restaurant: This Mediterranean influenced restaurant overlooks the Shangri-La’s spectacular lagoon. This restaurant is a convenient dining choice for many guests as it is ideally located between the Lagoon Wing and Ocean Wing. The Lagoon Terrace is also the main breakfast restaurant. Casual dress code.
Takali Terrace Restaurant: Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and offers panoramic views of the reef. The Takali Terrace also specialises in Asian & Seafood cuisine for lunch and dinner. Dress code is casual.
The Golden Cowrie: Is an adult only breakfast venue reserved for persons 16 years and above. The perfect way to start your day, from this venue you can enjoy a buffet breakfast whilst enjoying the the fabulous views of the beautiful lagoon. Open daily from 6.00am – 10.00am.
Kalevu Restaurant: The hotel’s air-conditioned and speciality offering fine dining with influences from Australia and the Pacific. Dress codes is smart casual – long pants and collared shirts for men.
Bilo Bar: Is a beachfront bar offering the best sunset vantage point, serves a great selection of cocktails.
Black Marlin Bar & Bistro: This bar is the centre of action every night with a DJ and resident band. The Bistro section also serves a great a-la-carte menu for dinner. As a prelude at 5.30pm, a diplay of the torch lighting ceremony by Fijian warriors signifies the start of the evening entertainment.
Cafe Coral: A healthy style gourmet delicatessane located at the Coral Pool that will offer cafe style late breakfast, lunch and afternoon menus. The outlet will also offer fine fresh ground coffee, juice and smoothie bar, premium cakes and pastries. Alcoholic beverages inclusive of premium spirits, beers and cocktail will also be available. Located by the resorts’s infinity horizon pool.
Coffee Bar: At the Coffee Bar you can enjoy the world renowned coffee brands accompanied by an assortment of cakes and delicacies.

Designed as a secluded Spa Village and set away from the main Resort, Chi allows you to enjoy the privacy and luxury of the largest Spa Bures in Fiji, complete with spacious relaxation areas overlooking the Pacific Ocean or the Islands rainforest, private garden patios, sunken tubs or jaquzzi, herbal steam rooms and outdoor showers. Shangri-La Fijian Resort features a Peter Thompson designed 9-hole executive golf course. Ideal for those guests who love a game of golf while on holidays or for the golf fanatic who needs their weekly game of golf.
Weddings
Shangri-La Fijian Resort offers an excellent Wedding Service, with a range of venues for outdoor weddings as well as the beautiful Seaside Wedding Chapel. The Chapel sits up to 40 guests and features a glass wall and ceiling at the altar with sweeping views of the reef and Pacific Ocean. Rewnal of Vows package is also available.
Fijian Wedding Package: Includes Marriage license, escorted return transfers to the local registry, minister/celebrant, wedding venue set up, private venue (1 hour period), Bouquet & tropical flower lei of seasonal blooms for the Bride and Groom, Red carpet entrance, Trio of Fijian serenaders, Wedding Photo (36 prints in a photo album with digital images on CD, booking period of 60 minutes) and Shangri-La gift pack for the bridal couple

Children
Children 17 years and under are free of charge when sharing existing bedding with adults. Children 11 years and under are included in the Kids Eat Free Program. All persons 12 years and over receive full breakfast daily (except where specified).
Free Kids Club: The Little Chief’s Club is a complimentary club for children between 4 and 12 years old. Open everyday from 9am to 12noon and 1pm to 5pm. The activities are designed for 4 to 6 year olds and 7 to 12 year olds with a range of fun activities. During peak periods a program also operates for 13 to 18 years olds. Children aged 3 years old and younger will need to be accompanied by at least one adult or a baby-sitter (babysitting service is available at additional cost).
Kids Stay and Eat Free: Children aged 17 years and under stay free of charge when sharing existing bedding with adults. Children 11 years and under are included in the Kids Eat Free Dining Program. Conditions do apply – Breakfast is in the Lagoon Terrace Restaurant or Takali Terrace, this is the regular buffet breakfast for adults and children. Lunch – is from the dedicated Kids Menu and served at Lagoon Terrace Restaurant from 12noon to 1.00pm. Dinner – is a buffet available at Lagoon Terrace restaurant. Children must be accompanied by an adult to gain the free dinner (one paying adult).
Fijian babysitters are available at approximately F$24 for a minimum of 3 hours and F$7 per hour thereafter. A maximum of three children are permitted per babysitter. Prices can alter.
